Enviro-Fix, LLC Joint Venture with Perma-Fix Earns National Safety Council Award for Flawless NFSS Project Safety

Perma-Fix Joint Venture Enviro-Fix, LLC Achieves Flawless Safety on NFSS Project, Wins National Safety Council Award

Perma-Fix, in joint venture with ECC as Enviro-Fix, LLC, has earned the National Safety Council (NSC) Perfect Record Award for achieving a flawless safety record on the Niagara Falls Storage Site (NFSS) project, completing the entire project with ZERO occupational injuries or illnesses resulting in lost workdays. This award is one of the most respected acknowledgments of safety performance in the United States, and we are honored to be one of the recipients.

The award reflects more than just compliance with regulations; it represents an unyielding commitment that every employee, subcontractor, and partner goes home safe at the end of the day. Whether working in hazardous waste environments, operating heavy equipment, or handling radiological materials, the Enviro-Fix team prioritizes hazard prevention and situational awareness above all else. Key elements of the safety culture include comprehensive training before any site activity begins, continuous monitoring of workplace conditions and air quality, clear communication of hazards and work procedures, and empowerment of every worker to stop work if unsafe conditions arise. This safety culture is the foundation for completing high-hazard environmental work without a single safety incident.

Safety is not just a program we follow; it’s the way we work. Receiving the NSC Perfect Record Award validates the diligence, skill, and personal responsibility every team member brings to the job each day. With over 60 years of combined experience in construction, remediation, and waste management, Perma-Fix and ECC’s joint venture team has demonstrated that safety excellence and technical excellence go hand-in-hand. This recognition adds to Perma-Fix’s long history of performing complex environmental projects without compromising the health and safety of its workforce.
